I've watched it turn into a tourist attraction. I personally prefer Santa Rosa Beach, although it is getting crowded also. I hate sand - my ideal beach would have soft grass all the way to the water's edge, which would be very warm and no gross squishy mud in it, minimal amounts of other people, good bathrooms close by that are clean and do not stink, and cheap tasty food available. I do like picturesque places, but the wind on beaches is horrific! Even if you pack yummy food, who likes eating when the wind kicks sand everywhere?? One crunch of sand, and I want to hurl!Maznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5984487997306130330.post-46966059550029199432012-03-14T11:26:26.775-05:002012-03-14T11:26:26.775-05:00I also hate the beach with the passion of 1000 sun...I also hate the beach with the passion of 1000 suns. I have nerve damage so can't go in the cold water without excruciating pain, but the smell, the sun, the experience of something so much larger than myself. I LOVE it.
